Consensus, presented by the award-winning media outlet CoinDesk, is one of the world’s most influential annual events in the blockchain, digital assets, and Web 3.0 industry, bringing together the professionals, startups, regulators, developers and researchers, to name just a few, from the blockchain, digital assets, tradiFi, Fintech communities.
In 2025, the event expanded to Hong Kong for the first time — its debut edition outside North America — with the ambition to build brand awareness in Asia-Pacific, drive ticket sales across key markets, and engage a diverse Web 3.0 community.
To support this pivotal market entry, Consensus partnered with Digital Business Lab, leveraging our digital marketing expertise and deep regional insights to execute a full-scale, multi-market campaign. The collaboration encompassed the entire event lifecycle — from pre-event awareness building, to real-time community engagement during the event, and post-event reflection and strategic recommendations — positioning Consensus Hong Kong as a landmark moment in the APAC Web 3.0 calendar.

To achieve these objectives, Digital Business Lab designed and executed a full-funnel strategy across paid media, influencer marketing, content production, native media partnerships and community management.
Paid Media Activation
Managed 11 advertising channels across 4 months and in 13 countries, covering Google (Search, Performance Max, YouTube), Meta (Instagram, Facebook), X/Twitter, Reddit, StackAdapt, Telegram, Sojern, SCMP, BitMedia, and Coinzilla.
Influencer Marketing
Activated 32 influencers from 11 countries, driving over 515K views, 13.4K likes, 1K+ comments across 9 platforms. Through tailored messaging and promo-code call-to-actions, the campaign successfully generated direct conversions, contributing to overall ticket sales growth in key APAC markets.
Content Creation & Production
Developed and localized over 400 creative assets, spanning social banners, video capsules, localized DOOH & OOH creatives for Hong Kong (airport screens, bus shelters, trams, HKJC billboard), and corporate communication materials for local markets.
Native Media
Collaborated with 10+ Web 3.0 native media platforms and prominent tech podcast called What’s next (科技早知道) to extend reach and amplify event storytelling, through a mix of website event banners, in-app splash ads, notification messages, WeChat Official Account articles, newsletters with dedicated ticket promotional codes, WeChat group messaging, and social media content on WeChat and X.
Additionally, collaborated with the renowned Web 3.0 media outlet PANews and global communication agency Cognito to secure prominent coverage of the Chairman’s interview and an introduction to Consensus Hong Kong 2025. The collaboration included an in-depth feature article, homepage banner placement, mobile app splash screen ads, an exclusive newsletter release, and cross-community promotion across all owned channels.
Community Management
Delivered real-time UGC monitoring and community engagement across social channels during the 3-day event, ensuring dynamic, positive interaction with the APAC Web 3.0 community. Activities included monitoring audience sentiment and social buzz in multiple languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Arabic, etc.), engaging with community posts via the ConsensusHK account, managing FAQ responses, and providing daily feedback loops to optimize community interaction.
