Top 10 Gen Z influencers in Hong Kong for 2021

For the first time, Digital Business Lab has curated a list of the top Gen Z Influencers in Hong Kong for 2021.

Gen Z in the area! Previously in our Decoding Generation Z article, we deep-dived into Generation Z’s social media behavior and shared some actionable insights for brands to connect better & reach this demographic. Remember that Gen Zers are authentic story seekers; they are sensitive to social media content by relevance and prefer to follow influencers that are ordinary teens they can relate to rather than celebrities.

To find the right influencers, we have shortlisted a list of Gen Z Influencers in Hong Kong who have recently gained popularity & exposure that we find highly influential, engaging with a significant potential to grow. Each influencer has his/her unique angle with high-quality and sticky content on their profiles.

This list of Gen Z influencers (born in the mid-1990s and early 2000s) was picked from in-house research and included singers, actors, models, YouTubers, dancers, content creators, etc. It covers Instagram profiles as the primary channel with additional insights about the influencers’ engagement rate and demographic of followers on their main channels via media and intelligence tools powered by Meltwater.

Born from a French-Chinese family, J Lou rose to fame after posting videos on YouTube showcasing her everyday life as part of a multicultural family in Hong Kong, with her videos featuring funny yet genuine interactions with her Chinese mother and French father. It was just for fun initially, but eventually, it became her job with one of her videos attracted huge attention, “STRICT Chinese Mom Reacts To My Instagram Pictures!” went viral and pushed views to 6 million!
